Misaki Senomiya is the older sister of Akiho Senomiya and the original founder of the Robotics Research Club at Chuo Tanegashima High School. She later graduated from a university outside of Tanegashima and works as a spokeswoman and test pilot for the robotics company Exoskeleton, where she is involved in developing and testing the HUG series of wearable robotic suits. She is also an old friend of Kaito Yashio.

Her background is marked by the Anemone-gou Incident, during which she discovered the activities of the late scientist Kou Kimijima. She killed him at that time, but shortly afterward fell under the influence of his cyber-ghost, which brainwashed her for years. Under this control, her demeanor becomes solemn, emotionless, and cynical. Despite this altered personality, she retains her technical skill and becomes a highly capable pilot of militaristic robots, most notably the experimental battle machine SUMERAGI. Her actions under the cyber-ghost's influence put her in opposition to the Robotics Research Club and its members, including her sister Akiho.

Her role in the story is that of an antagonist driven by external manipulation rather than personal malice. Her development involves the eventual breaking of Kimijima's control, which allows her to regain her autonomy. Beyond her piloting abilities, she is noted for her deep knowledge of robotics and her past contributions to the field, both as a founder of the club and as a professional in the industry.
