Description
Gotoku Sakurakōji is a supporting character in Code:Breaker, known primarily for being the adoptive father of the protagonist, Sakura Sakurakōji. He holds the position of kumicho, or clan leader, of the Oni Sakura-gumi, a yakuza organization, and carries the nickname the Raging Dragon of Kanto.

In terms of appearance and demeanor, Gotoku is often shown as a seemingly frail man who can frequently be seen with a nosebleed or coughing up blood, giving him a weak and sickly presence. This outward fragility is deceptive, however, as when a serious situation arises, his expression sharpens and his demeanor becomes intense, leaving no trace of his usual weakness.

Personality-wise, Gotoku is defined by his deep and open affection for his family, particularly his daughter Sakura, whom he is said to dote on more than anyone else. This fierce protectiveness extends to his role in the story, often manifesting in his interactions with the male lead, Rei Ōgami. Because Sakura spends a considerable amount of time with Ōgami, Gotoku frequently sends threatening messages to the young man, sometimes accompanied by a scroll bearing the character for kill, as a clear warning to stay away from his daughter.

His relationship with Sakura is a key aspect of his character. He is not her biological father, as it has been revealed that she was adopted by him and his wife when she was a young child. Despite this, he shows her immense love and devotion, treating her as his own. Sakura also seems to hold a great deal of respect and affection for her adoptive father. His role in the broader narrative is generally peripheral, appearing mostly in scenes that highlight his paternal concern for Sakura, which often serves as a source of comedic or heartwarming moments. While he is the head of a powerful yakuza family, his notable abilities are never detailed in combat scenarios, as his presence in the story is centered entirely on his personal connection to Sakura and his disapproval of her relationship with Ōgami.
