Hare Menjou is a sixteen-year-old student at Tennozu High School and a central supporting character in the narrative. She is a long-time friend and classmate of the protagonist, Shu Ouma, having known him since middle school and living in the same apartment building. As a member of the school`s Motion Picture Research Club, she is often seen alongside her close friends, including Souta Tamadate and Kanon Kusama.

In terms of personality, Hare is defined by a genuinely kind and carefree nature. She is consistently cheerful and supportive, often acting as a source of warmth and normalcy in contrast to the increasingly chaotic events surrounding her. Reflecting her caring nature, this Void takes the form of long, white bandages that possess the remarkable ability to repair any object or heal any injury. Her Void is considered exceptionally powerful, receiving a high ranking score of 1832, surpassing several other key characters.

Hares development culminates in a moment of profound sacrifice when a mission to retrieve students goes wrong. She is caught in an explosion and, though mortally wounded, uses her Void to heal Shu, who is far more severely injured. As she uses her power, she professes her love for him and recalls a childhood fairy tale about a kind king who gave everything away, telling Shu that he reminds her of that king and that she believes he will be a good ruler. Before she can finish, a GHQ helicopter destroys her Void, causing her body to rapidly crystallize from the Apocalypse Virus and shatter. Her death has an immediate and devastating impact on Shu, shattering his psyche and pushing him down a dark, tyrannical path that directly contradicts the kind king she believed he could be. Her sacrifice, however, remains the act that saves his life and solidifies her legacy as the storys most significant emotional turning point.
