TV-Series
Description
Mujina belongs to the Kaiju Eugenicists, utilizing kaiju control to achieve the group's aims. She wears a white military-style uniform, blue pants, white gloves, and white boots. Her defining trait is a profound lack of personal direction or ambitions, openly admitting she has no purpose and readily following her comrades' lead. Despite this existential void, she enjoys everyday pleasures like visiting water parks, game centers, soda joints, and watching movies with others.
Her history stretches back 5000 years. Alongside fellow Kaiju Eugenicists like Gauma, she used their kaiju-controlling powers to bring prosperity to a country, earning them the title "dragon controllers" from neighbors. Conflict erupted when their country betrayed them; they retaliated in kind. Gauma, siding with the princess, killed Mujina and the others, leaving Gauma with facial scars.
Revived in the modern era, she and the Kaiju Eugenicists see Gauma as a traitor for piloting Dynazenon against their kaiju. Mujina participates in attacks deploying kaiju such as Shalbandes and Greyjhom before revealing themselves to Dynazenon's pilots. She attempts to control the kaiju Didoras individually but performs poorly in battle.
A pivotal encounter occurs when she meets the drunken Koyomi Yamanaka at a convenience store. Noting their shared lack of life goals, she exploits his state, stealing his Dynastriker device after giving him her umbrella. The Kaiju Eugenicists debate its use while Mujina remains uncertain. Gauma tracks the device, leading to a confrontation where it is reclaimed. Mujina later assists Onija in controlling the kaiju Bullbind and battles Dynazenon.
After the kaiju Garnix's defeat, she briefly leaves the group seeking purpose, only to rejoin for a final plan involving the kaiju Gagula. She and the other Kaiju Eugenicists employ their collective Instance Domination ability on Gagula, discovering Sizumu within. To empower Gagula's second form, they allow themselves to be consumed. This effort fails against Gridknight and Dynarex, resulting in her destruction alongside Gagula.
Her primary ability is Instance Domination, enabling control over kaiju and inducing their growth to gigantic size. She controls four-legged kaiju, including Didoras individually, Bullbind jointly with Onija, and Gagula collectively with the Kaiju Eugenicists.
Additional details include her height (175 cm), weight (66 kg), birthdate (March 2), blood type (O), and hobby (eating tours). Her name originates from Japanese folklore, referencing a shapeshifting badger yokai. The proverb "同じ穴の狢" (a badger in the same cave) implies an unseen connection to wrongdoing, reflecting her deceptive nature and affiliation with the antagonistic group.
