Description
Msyu, whose name is derived from the four-letter code MSYU printed on Kimimaro Yoga's Midas Card, is the Asset that serves as his partner in the financial district of the anime C – Control – The Money and Soul of Possibility. She manifests as a young girl with a pair of curved horns sprouting from her head, auburn hair, and green eyes. As an Asset, she is a physical embodiment of Kimimaro's future, specifically suggested to be modeled after a future daughter he might have, though he remains uncertain about this.

Msyu possesses a personality that sets her apart from most other Assets. While Assets are typically treated as tools or weapons by their Entres, Msyu displays curiosity about the human world and behaves in ways that are unusual for her kind. She asks Kimimaro to let her taste instant ramen, even though Assets do not normally eat, purely out of curiosity. She is short-tempered and often impatient with Kimimaro's indecisiveness, yet she develops a deep loyalty and protective instinct toward him. Over the course of the story, she grows emotionally, forming feelings of love for Kimimaro and ultimately kissing him in the final episode.

Her role in the story is that of Kimimaro's primary combat partner during the Deals, the battles fought with Midas Money in the financial district. She is a melee-class Asset with the ability to generate and control fire. Her signature techniques are Flations, which are powerful attacks fueled by the Midas Money invested in her. Her Mezzoflation is called Scorched Earth, a highly destructive fire-based attack. Her Macroflation, used later in the series, is Overheated Economy, an even more devastating ability that consumes a great deal of energy and places a heavy burden on her. She is fiercely protective of Kimimaro and often acts as his shield and sword in battle.

Key relationships include her bond with Kimimaro, which is marked by mutual respect and partnership; Kimimaro refuses to treat her as a mere object and even risks his own safety to shield her. She is curious about Q, the silent, pale Asset belonging to Souichirou Mikuni, and observes her with interest. Msyu also interacts with other Entres and Assets in the financial district, though her focus remains on Kimimaro.

Throughout the series, Msyu transitions from a being that exists solely for combat into a character with a sense of self and human-like emotions. Her development culminates in her willingness to support Kimimaro's ultimate decision to prioritize the future of the world over her own continued existence, showing her growth beyond her original function. Her notable abilities revolve around fire-based attacks, her high damage output, and her unique status as an Asset that can think and feel like a person.
