Description
Magiquone (Arfoire) serves as a recurring interdimensional antagonist. In the Super Dimension (Hyperdimension Neptunia/Re;Birth1/reVerse), she originated as a human with power-copying abilities who joined a quartet to defeat a corrupted Goddess. After their victory, the Goddess sealed her "good" aspect into Histoire and created the four CPUs. Arfoire's copied divine powers overwhelmed her, twisting her mind with resentment toward the CPUs, whom she blamed for stealing her rightful power. This corruption physically and mentally transformed her into a vessel for the Goddess's malevolent aspects. Re;Birth1's True Ending purified her back to her original human form, revealing her past role as a caretaker to the young CPUs, motivated by guilt over her part in their "mother's" demise.

Distinct iterations exist across dimensions. Hyper Dimension's Arfoire (mk2/Re;Birth2/Sisters vs Sisters) emerged as the destructive Deity of Sin (DoS). Resurrected by ASIC, she initially displayed minimal sentience but regained cunning post-revival. Ultra Dimension Arfoire (Victory/V), a member of the Seven Sages, harbored intense hostility toward Neptune despite no prior encounters, partly fueled by insults about her age. Zero Dimension Arfoire (VII), born from Kurome's recollection of the DoS, obsessively sought to annihilate Uzume and the Zero Dimension regardless of cost. These variants often resort to the DoS form. Additional appearances include final boss roles in Neptunia Shooter and Dimension Tripper Neptune: TOP NEP, president of Pirate Makers in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution (fusing with Psychostock to become Psyfoire), and antagonist in the manga Gakuen Game Neptune: Katsudou Diary where she established rival "Shadow Gaministrators" at Gamimagic Academy.

Her personality consistently shows low tolerance for failure, sore losing, and manipulative behavior, employing mind games against foes like Nepgear in the Conquest ending. She shares noted temperamental similarities with Blanc. Dramatic entrances, boastful monologues, and signature maniacal laughter characterize her appearances. A profound hatred for Neptune exists across dimensions, triggered by mispronouncing her name or Neptune's mere existence; this animosity caused the Ultra Dimension version to react violently upon first hearing Neptune's name. The Zero Dimension variant displayed unusual emotion when Nepgear correctly said her name.

Visually, she typically appears as a gray-skinned witch with red eyes, wearing gothic attire featuring black, purple, and gold accents, clawed nails, and a large witch hat. Her hair matches Neptune's color but features slanted bangs. True forms reveal a draconic shape, while shapeshifting allows aliases like "Conversation" (Leanbox), "Evangelist" (Lowee), or "Overlord Momus' messenger". Game-specific designs vary: mk2 forms included a monstrous shape and a rabbit-like CPU form cracking under strain; Victory altered her hat, collar, and color scheme. Weapons typically involve spears or javelins.

Narratively, she embodies game piracy, symbolized by her Japanese name "Magiquone" (referencing "Magicon" flash carts) and localized name "Arfoire" (referencing the R4 flash cart). Her schemes aim to diminish Share Energy by promoting bootleg games, directly threatening the CPUs' power. She frequently employs One-Winged Angel transformations, including the draconic form and various Deity of Sin manifestations. While Super, Hyper, and Zero Dimension versions typically meet definitive ends, her Ultra Dimension counterpart survives and experiences relative redemption. Reused designs for her monstrous forms appear for other entities like Overlord Momus or Colosseum monsters.
