Description
Legoshi is a male gray wolf with Komodo dragon ancestry inherited from his mother Leano, making him a hybrid. He stands approximately 185-187 centimeters tall, covered in bluish-gray fur except for cream-colored fur on his face, neck, and chest. His Komodo dragon heritage grants reptilian eyes with vertical slit pupils and immunity to Komodo dragon venom, though he lacks venomous capabilities himself. Permanent alterations to his appearance include claw mark scars on his back from a school play, facial scars from fights, a notched left ear from a gunshot, and a "5/7" tattoo on his left shoulder. Temporary changes involve full-body fur shortening during undercover training and stress-induced fur whitening.

Born to Leano, a wolf-Komodo dragon hybrid, and Miyagi, a purebred gray wolf actor, Legoshi was deliberately conceived to suppress reptilian traits. Raised primarily by his Komodo dragon grandfather Gosha after Leano isolated herself due to shame over her hybrid features, he experienced childhood ostracization for his insect-collecting hobby until befriending Jack, a Labrador retriever. At age 12, his mother died by suicide after sharing a final embrace with him, instilling lasting guilt. He subsequently blamed Gosha for her death, leading to estrangement. Enrolling at Cherryton Academy as a boarding student at Gosha's suggestion, Legoshi concealed his hybrid status, registered solely as a gray wolf, with Jack remaining his sole confidant regarding his lineage.

Initially introverted and socially awkward, Legoshi exhibited profound self-loathing related to his carnivore identity and imposing stature, often slouching to appear less threatening. He worked as a stagehand in Cherryton's drama club, avoiding attention while harboring a fascination with tragic narratives. His personality blends a gentle, patient, and egalitarian nature with sudden assertiveness when confronting injustice. Key traits include physical strength exceeding species averages—notably a 295 kg jaw strength—stubbornness in pursuing convictions, and heightened senses enabling scent tracking and saliva identification. He developed "meat independence" through psychological training with Gohin, redirecting predatory strength to his limbs without consuming meat, though this proved ineffective against larger opponents. His detective abilities surfaced while investigating the murder of Tem, an alpaca classmate.

Character development centers on reconciling his dual nature. Early conflict emerged when he nearly devoured Haru, a white dwarf rabbit, during a chance encounter, triggering confusion between predatory instincts and romantic attraction. His relationship with Haru evolved through mutual understanding of their societal ostracization, though strained by his obsessive protection tendencies and her promiscuity as a form of autonomy. Influential relationships include rivalry-turned-friendship with Louis, a red deer who later sacrificed his own flesh to empower Legoshi; mentorship under Gohin, a giant panda psychiatrist who trained him to control instincts; and childhood camaraderie with Jack. His journey involved accepting his carnivore identity while rejecting societal prejudices, notably through friendships with herbivores like Els, an Angora goat initially fearful of him after Tem's murder.

Legoshi's arc includes leaving Cherryton Academy to live independently, symbolizing his break from institutional constraints. He reconciled with Gosha, understanding his mother's struggles and embracing his hybrid heritage. Physical confrontations—battles with Shishigumi lion gang members, Riz (the brown bear who murdered Tem), and the hybrid villain Melon—forced him to confront violence within himself while solidifying his commitment to protect the vulnerable. His eventual romantic commitment to Haru culminated in an engagement, demonstrating his resolution to bridge carnivore-herbivore divisions.
