Description
Takeshi "Gian" Goda cuts an imposing figure in the neighborhood, known for his forceful behavior. He frequently targets Nobita Nobi, "borrowing" possessions against Nobita's will and subjecting others to his self-perceived talents. His notably unpleasant singing voice often features in social interactions, even causing discomfort when performed at Nobita's wedding until the ceremony ended.

Gian captains the local baseball team, "The Giants," demonstrating athletic competence. However, the team struggles due to the limited skills of members like Nobita, whom Gian compels to play regardless of ability or desire, persistently prioritizing his own goals over others' autonomy.

Despite his aggression, Gian shows fierce loyalty and protectiveness towards his younger sister, Jaiko, supporting her manga artist aspirations, sometimes using Doraemon's gadgets to help. He reacts strongly to any comments about Jaiko, often leading to physical confrontations with Nobita. Gian exhibits a pronounced fear of his mother, who runs a grocery store and disciplines him harshly for misconduct, contrasting sharply with his usual domineering persona.

Gian's relationship with Nobita embodies a complex duality. He regularly bullies Nobita, famously declaring that a day without targeting him disrupts his basic functions, yet also displays underlying concern. In critical moments, like rescuing Nobita from a blizzard or preventing a fall, Gian acts decisively to protect him. This paradox extends to group contexts; Gian frequently coordinates collective actions, using his forceful personality to mobilize others, such as when he and Suneo assisted Future Nobita against middle school assailants during a temporal displacement.

Gian generally interacts respectfully with Shizuka Minamoto, moderating his behavior when she objects to his aggression. However, he occasionally disregards her discomfort, pressuring her to attend his culinary or musical events. Gian's self-awareness fluctuates; moments of introspection, like regretting his unpopularity when friends avoided his birthday, prompt temporary self-improvement efforts. These often dissolve when provoked, reverting him to established patterns of hostility.

Gian's involvement in temporal disruptions, particularly concerning Nobita's wedding timeline, underscores his group reliance. He participated in searching for Future Nobita when he absconded before the ceremony and maintained event continuity with his singing. Later, confronting middle school bullies targeting Future Nobita, Gian intervened physically alongside Suneo, reinforcing his role as a formidable ally during crises despite habitual antagonism.
