Description
Pantherlily is an Exceed, a winged, catlike race originally from the parallel world of Edolas. He first appears as the First Division Commander of the Magic Militia within the Edolas Royal Army, a high-ranking soldier serving the kingdom. After the events of the Edolas arc, he is transported to Earth Land and becomes a member of the Fairy Tail guild, taking on the role of companion and partner to the dragon slayer Gajeel Redfox.
His background is defined by an act of compassion that shaped his entire life. As a young Exceed living in Extalia, the homeland of his people, Pantherlily saved a wounded human child, unaware that the boy was the prince of Edolas. The Exceed elders treated this rescue as treason, branding him a Fallen and exiling him from Extalia permanently. He afterward lived among humans alongside the prince, who would grow up to be the mage Mystogan. Pantherlily eventually joined the Edolas Royal Army and rose to the position of commander, even as he carried the bitterness of his exile.
