Description
Kusano, known as Sekirei number 108, is the youngest of the Sekirei partnered with Minato Sahashi. She is often called Ku-chan and is recognized by the title Green Girl or Green Lady owing to her ability to command plant life. Before meeting Minato, she was held in an MBI botanical laboratory from which he rescued her, and she subsequently became the second Sekirei he winged. Her regulator has not fully completed her adjustments, which causes her powers to sometimes manifest uncontrollably.

In personality, Kusano displays a gentle, childlike nature. She is quick to cry and openly expresses affection for Minato, whom she addresses as Onii-chan, the Japanese term for older brother. She has stated her wish to become his wife when she grows up, reflecting a deep emotional bond. Kusano strongly dislikes fighting and quarrels, and she often tries to mediate conflicts among her companions at Izumo Inn, where she is something of a mascot. Her presence tends to soften tense situations, as others are reluctant to upset her.

Kusano's primary ability is the manipulation of plants. She can accelerate their growth, command vines and branches to entangle opponents, and create botanical barriers to shield herself and her allies. Because her regulations are incomplete, these powers occasionally surge beyond her control, though she gradually learns to direct them more reliably. In battle, she prefers to support rather than directly engage, using the environment to restrain adversaries.

Her role in the Sekirei Plan is that of a defensive and supportive fighter. She does not seek out conflict and is most effective when protecting Minato or her friends. Throughout the story, her bond with Minato and the other Sekirei deepens, and while she remains innocent, she shows moments of surprising determination when those she cares for are threatened. Her most significant relationships are with Minato, whom she adores, and with the other Sekirei of his household, including Musubi, Tsukiumi, and Matsu, who treat her as a little sister. Kusano's development is subtle; she matures slightly in her understanding of the battles around her, but her core innocence and pacifism remain constant, making her a unique and comforting presence within the group.
