Description
Perrine H. Clostermann, whose full name is Pierrette-Henriette Clostermann, is a main character in Strike Witches and a witch attached to the 501st Joint Fighter Wing. She is fifteen years old, stands about 152 centimeters tall, and comes from Gallia, the series' counterpart to France. She is the heiress of an influential and wealthy Gallian family and carries herself with the manners and pride of an aristocrat. Among her comrades she is also known by the nickname Blue Premier.
Her background is shaped by loss. When the Neuroi invaded Gallia, her homeland was devastated and her family's position was destroyed. This experience left lasting emotional scars and gave her a deeply personal stake in the war. She joined the Strike Witches with the specific goal of helping liberate Gallia, and she serves with the rank of Flying Officer after beginning her career in the Armée de l'Air 802nd Flying Corps.
Perrine's personality is proud, formal, and often inflexible. She is very conscious of her noble lineage and can come across as haughty and dismissive of people she considers less refined than herself. She tends to be overly serious, holds herself to high standards, and values tradition and rules, and she often prefers to act alone rather than cooperate with her teammates. Her stubbornness and sense of superiority initially make her one of the more difficult members of the unit to work with.
