Description
Michael Trinity is the second of the three Trinity Siblings, a team of Gundam Meisters introduced during the first season of Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Like his older brother Johann and younger sister Nena, Michael was created from the genetic material of Ribbons Almark and was raised to serve as a Gundam pilot. He pilots the GNW-002 Gundam Throne Zwei, a mobile suit equipped with a large GN Buster Sword and remote-controlled GN Fangs for all‑range attacks.
Michael possesses a short‑tempered and impulsive personality. He speaks roughly and adopts a belligerent attitude toward anyone who opposes him, immediately baring his fangs in hostility. In combat, he favors brutal and relentless tactics, often relying on the Throne Zwei’s GN Fangs to overwhelm his opponents without mercy. His motivations are largely tied to his loyalty to Team Trinity and his own desire to prove his strength. He follows orders from his eldest brother Johann, though he frequently complains about them, and he shows a deep, doting attachment to his younger sister Nena, bordering on a sister complex.
Within the story, Team Trinity initially appears as a rogue third faction that intervenes in the battles between the original Celestial Being Gundam Meisters and the three world blocs. Michael’s role is that of an aggressive combatant who escalates the conflict, often acting without restraint. His key relationships are with his siblings: he respects Johann’s authority but resents it, and he is fiercely protective of Nena. His development is cut short when he is shot and killed by Ali Al‑Saachez, who then steals the Gundam Throne Zwei for his own use.
Notable abilities include his proficiency in piloting a Gundam optimized for aggressive close‑to‑medium‑range combat and his expert use of the Throne Zwei’s GN Fangs, which he controls with precision to strike enemies from multiple angles. His impulsive nature, however, often leaves him vulnerable to more calculating opponents.
