Ted Cole

Ted Cole is a Canadian voice actor known for his extensive work in anime dubbing, primarily with Ocean Productions in Vancouver. He was born Theodore Cole on April 5, 1971, and has been active in the voice acting industry since 1987.

Cole is recognized for a wide array of roles in English adaptations of popular anime series. Among his most prominent parts is Tatewaki Kuno in the classic series Ranma ½. He also voiced Chang Wufei in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing and its sequel, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. In the long-running Dragon Ball franchise, he provided the voice for the character Yamcha in the Ocean Group dubs of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball Z Kai. Another significant role was as Gilbert Durandal in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny.

His filmography includes a diverse range of other characters. He played the lead role of Taichi Keaton-Hiraga in Master Keaton. He voiced Sho Sai in The Story of Saiunkoku and Murakata in Trouble Chocolate. His work also includes roles in Death Note as Reiji Namikawa, in Hamtaro as Boss, and as Leon Toros in Zoids: New Century Zero. He has also taken on parts in live-action projects, such as a brief role in the film Scary Movie.

Throughout his career, Cole has frequently collaborated with a consistent group of voice actors based in Vancouver, including Brian Drummond, Michael Dobson, Paul Dobson, Kelly Sheridan, and Cathy Weseluck, among others.
