Description
Masumi Fujita attends St. Catalano Girls' High School as the climbing team's ace. She possesses short silver-blue hair and violet eyes. Her explosive climbing style, developed from a track-running background, earned her the nickname "Black Panther" for extraordinary leaping ability. This athletic past also fuels lingering insecurities from track failures, creating a fear of disappointing others' expectations.

Despite projecting confidence and leadership, Masumi grapples with self-doubt and struggles to articulate her thoughts. During the Kanto Bouldering Championship, she passes preliminaries but places fifth in semifinals. Witnessing rival Chinari Iwamine shift focus toward Konomi Kasahara deepens Masumi's sense of inadequacy. She becomes convinced she failed as a team leader and that Chinari no longer considers her a worthy opponent.

Teammates Rina Samura and Kurea Ooba provide vital support, reassuring Masumi of their admiration and trust in her abilities. Their encouragement helps her overcome insecurities. Motivated by their faith, she wins the finals by completing all three walls in fewer attempts than Chinari, demonstrating her capacity to rise above self-doubt through team support.

Masumi's climbing expertise centers on prodigious jumping prowess, enabling her to reach distant holds and bypass obstacles—a skill rooted in her track background. Beyond the Kanto Championship events, no additional character development or background details exist in other official media. Her story arc remains confined to this competition, without further appearances or evolution in spin-offs, sequels, or related media.
