TV-Series
Description
Lou is an alien baby from Planet Otto who becomes a central figure in the story after his spacecraft crash-lands at the Saionji temple on Earth. He is accompanied by his feline-shaped sitter and guardian, Wannya. Unable to return home due to the great distance, Lou stays with the two junior high school students Miyu Kozuki and Kanata Saionji, quickly forming a deep emotional bond with them and regarding them as his parents, referring to them as mama and papa.

Despite being only an infant, Lou possesses a remarkably high level of comprehension and can fully understand the speech and emotions of those around him. However, he cannot yet speak more than a few words, primarily the names of his closest companions. His personality is cheerful, affectionate, and curious, and he often displays a trusting and innocent nature. He is endearingly playful and enjoys the attention he receives from others, particularly from the young girl Momoka, who declares herself his girlfriend. Lou’s friendly and cute demeanor makes him well-liked by most characters who meet him.

Lou’s primary motivation is to be close to Miyu and Kanata and to feel secure and loved. He instinctively tries to help them, but because he is still a baby, his actions often lead to unintended complications. He is not malicious; rather, his limited understanding of human society and his own powers frequently creates humorous and troublesome situations.

As an extraterrestrial being, Lou has notable psychic abilities. He can levitate himself and float through the air, and he possesses telekinesis, allowing him to move objects with his mind. He often uses these powers in moments of excitement or distress, which can cause chaos in the household and at school. Because his true identity must be kept secret, Miyu and Kanata usually introduce him as Miyu’s younger brother, though Lou himself insists on calling Miyu his mother.

Throughout the series, Lou remains a constant source of both joy and difficulty for the main characters. His presence forces Miyu and Kanata to develop greater responsibility and teamwork, while his unconditional affection helps them grow emotionally. In the sequel story set many years later, Lou has grown into a cheerful youth living on Planet Otto, and he encounters a confused earth girl named Miu, unaware that she is actually the daughter of the same people who once cared for him. This continuation shows that his bond with Miyu and Kanata remains a formative part of his character development.
