Description
Kosuke Kanzaki, better known by the alias Doctor, is a character from the anime Black Cat. He is a brilliant scientist with a specialization in nanotechnology and a high‑ranking member of the Apostles of the Stars, a criminal organization founded by Creed Diskenth.

He comes from the Jipang archipelago and was one of the first individuals recruited by Creed, quickly becoming one of his closest allies. Doctor is driven by an insatiable thirst for scientific knowledge, a fixation that borders on psychosis. He places almost no value on human life and is prepared to harm or kill anyone who interferes with his research or his quest for understanding.

In the anime, his most important role involves the Eden project, a scheme to create an artificial life‑form. He recovers the archived data for Eden that Dr. Tearju had attempted to destroy and later uses that information to remotely control Adam, the artificial being, in an attempt to force Eve to merge with Eden. He communicates with Dr. Tearju via a computer screen and reveals his part in the manipulation. During the final confrontation between the Apostles and the heroes, Doctor joins the battle and transforms himself into a large monster, though the full appearance of that transformation is only glimpsed.

Doctor maintains a close working relationship with Creed Diskenth, carrying out tasks that further Creed’s goals. He interacts with Eve and Adam primarily as subjects for his experiments, and his past with Dr. Tearju is defined by his appropriation of her work on Eden.

His supernatural ability is a Tao power called Warp World, which allows him to create an alternate reality in which anything he imagines can become physically real. He can also reach into the memories of people trapped within that world and bring those memories to life. Apart from his Tao, he is a highly skilled scientist whose expertise in nanomachines lets him develop advanced technology. In the anime, he additionally demonstrates the capability to transform his own body into a monstrous form.

Throughout the series, Doctor remains consistently devoted to his scientific ambitions and to Creed. His manipulation of the Eden project shows his calculating and ruthless personality, while his participation in the final battle and his monstrous transformation mark the culmination of his role in the story.
