Description
Kouhei is a supporting character in Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi. He is a shopkeeper in the Abenobashi Shopping Arcade, a lifelong resident of the area likely in his late thirties. His personality is described as loud and rough around the edges, yet also boisterous and friendly. He takes great pleasure in making a sale and strongly dislikes bad business, which seems to be his main motivation. Kouhei maintains an amiable relationship with the two young protagonists, Sasshi and Arumi, always greeting them warmly as they pass by his shop, and they appear to be fond of him in return. In the original world, his role is that of a familiar neighborhood merchant. As the story unfolds and the characters travel through various alternate dimensions, Kouhei consistently reappears in each parallel Abenobashi. In these worlds, he continues to operate as a shopkeeper or a similar merchant role, but his presentation and behavior are given a slightly bizarre twist that matches the theme of the current reality, often playing comedic variations of his original self. There is no notable character development or specific special abilities attributed to Kouhei. His function is largely that of a consistent, recognizable fixture of the arcade, providing a sense of continuity across the chaotic world-hopping and reinforcing the whimsical atmosphere of the series.
