Description
Jirō Tomitake visits Hinamizawa multiple times yearly under the alias "Tomitake Jirō," using photography of local birds and scenery as cover for his true role as an auditor for the secret organization "Tokyo." This organization monitors the Hinamizawa Syndrome research project. His frequent visits and photographic hobby earn him familiarity among villagers like Mion and Rena. His knowledge of village history and customs partly stems from his association with Takano Miyo.
Before his intelligence work, Tomitake served as a sniper and instructor in the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF), holding the rank of First Lieutenant. A vision-impairing accident ended his frontline sniper career, leading to his transition into training roles.
