Description
Ramba Ral is a Zeon officer introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam. He joined the Zeon army in U.C. 0064 and quickly built a reputation as a gifted tactician and a master of guerrilla warfare. He came from the distinguished Ral family, which was closely tied to Zeon's founder Zeon Deikun: his father, Jimba Ral, served as a close aide to Deikun and became a political rival of the Zabi family. Because of this connection, Ramba Ral knew Deikun's children during their childhood, and his family helped protect them after Deikun's death. Trapped in the ship's second bridge with his remaining men, he orders them to withdraw and prepares for a final stand. While sending a farewell message to Hamon, the Gundam destroys the second bridge from outside on the orders of the White Base's captain. Wounded and with no way out, Ramba Ral chooses suicide over capture, leaping out with a grenade.
