Description
Charlotte Chiffon is the 22nd daughter and 52nd child of the Charlotte Family, making her a direct descendant of the Emperor of the Sea, Big Mom. She formerly served as Totto Land's Minister of Puff, presiding over Funwari Island, but later defected from her mother's vast territory and crew. Chiffon is the wife of Capone Bege, the captain of the Fire Tank Pirates, and the mother of their son, Capone Pez. She is also the older twin sister of Charlotte Lola.

In appearance, Chiffon bears a strong resemblance to her twin sister, Lola. She is a large, tall woman, standing over two meters in height, with short pink hair tied into two pigtails. She has thick lips, blush spots on her cheeks, and small eyes. Her typical attire consists of a white dress with a floral blue pattern worn under a light blue shirt, paired with high-heeled boots.

Chiffon's personality is defined by her fierce devotion to her chosen family. As a wife and mother, she cares deeply for her husband, Bege, and her son, Pez, and is willing to go to great lengths to ensure their safety. She has shown a remarkably intimidating side, capable of terrifying even hardened members of her husband's pirate crew. Despite her fierce exterior, Chiffon is also a kind and selfless individual. She feels a strong sense of gratitude and obligation, particularly towards the Straw Hat Pirates for saving her sister Lola. While she has broken ties with her biological mother due to years of abuse, she possesses a strong moral compass and feels conflicted about her role in the plot to assassinate Big Mom, even considering herself a horrible person for feeling no affection towards her anymore.

Chiffon's background is marked by deep familial trauma. Her suffering began after her twin sister Lola fled an incredibly important and politically arranged marriage to Prince Loki of Elbaf. In her fury, Big Mom attempted to force Chiffon to take Lola's place, and when that plan failed, she took her rage out on Chiffon simply because of her resemblance to her runaway sister. This abuse was so severe that Big Mom forbade Chiffon from showing her face and inflicted scars upon her that would never heal. This cruel treatment led Chiffon to stop viewing Big Mom as a parent and instead see her as a monster. To solidify an alliance between the Fire Tank Pirates and the Big Mom Pirates, Chiffon was married to Capone Bege, a union that surprisingly became a happy and loving marriage. This new family unit—her husband and son, along with her sister Lola—became the only family she acknowledged.

Chiffon plays a significant role during the events on Whole Cake Island. Driven by her desire to protect Lola from their mother's murderous intent and with no remaining loyalty to Big Mom, she fully supports her husband's treacherous plan to assassinate the Emperor. She participates in the alliance with the Straw Hat Pirates and Caesar Clown to carry out the plot. When the assassination attempt fails, Chiffon continues to play a crucial part in the escape. Despite her stated desire to leave Totto Land forever, she selflessly volunteers to stay behind and help her half-sister, Charlotte Pudding, bake a massive and delicious replacement wedding cake. Her goal is to satiate Big Mom’s uncontrollable craving, thereby distracting her from pursuing and killing the fleeing Straw Hat Pirates, to whom she feels indebted for saving Lola. This act demonstrates her immense courage and willingness to risk her life for others.

Her key relationships define her actions throughout the story. With Capone Bege, she shares a genuinely happy and trusting marriage. She supports his ruthless decisions, such as feeding an ally to sharks, but is not afraid to voice objections when his plans endanger people she cares about. Bege, in turn, is a doting husband who risks his crew and ship to rescue her. Her bond with her son, Pez, is one of fierce protectiveness. Regarding her biological family, her relationship with Big Mom is one of utter hatred and rejection, while her relationship with her twin Lola is the sole positive tether to her bloodline, as she never blamed her sister for the abuse she suffered. She also shares a complex but cooperative relationship with her sister Pudding, whom she does not discriminate against for her third eye and who respects Chiffon's cooking skills. Late in the story, Chiffon finally meets her father, Pound. While initially unaware of his existence, Pound sacrifices himself to protect her from their older brother, Oven, and she eventually comes to accept him as her father.

While Chiffon does not possess any overt Devil Fruit powers or named combat techniques, she has several notable abilities. Her primary skill lies in baking, as she is an expert cook, particularly known for making chiffon cake. This skill is crucial for creating the wedding cake that stops Big Mom. Furthermore, as the wife of Bege, she holds a position of authority within the Fire Tank Pirates. Her most impressive trait, however, is her unyielding will and courage. She is not physically powerful compared to the series' fighters, but she repeatedly stands up to and defies far stronger individuals, including her mother, Big Mom, and her brother, Charlotte Oven, to protect her family and repay her debts.
