She has a tendency to hide her true feelings behind a cheerful smile. At some point, she met a character named Sara and took her on as a protégé. During the events of the story, Maria becomes involved with the protagonists Flum Apricot and Milkit during their time in the capital, acting as a friendly and energetic bridge that helps the duo interact with the broader society of the city. Her presence provides a lighter contrast to the dark fantasy elements that Flum often encounters. After Flum’s departure from the heroes party, Maria loses motivation in the group’s mission and eventually leaves the party herself.
