Carla Castañeda is a Mexican voice actress known for her extensive work in Spanish-language dubbing for animation, films, and video games. Born in Mexico City on December 7, 1985, she is the daughter of voice actors Mario Castañeda and Rommy Mendoza, and the sister of actor Arturo Castañeda. Her career in dubbing began at the age of seven in 1992. She studied acting at Casa Azul de Argos and the Centro de Capacitación Artística Profesional (C.E.C.A.P.), also developing skills in singing and commercial voice-over. Castañeda has built a prolific career with a wide range of notable voice roles in animation. She is widely recognized as the voice of Clawdeen Wolf in the Monster High franchise, Twilight Sparkle in My Little Pony: La magia de la amistad, and Daphne Blake in various Scooby-Doo productions. Her other significant animated roles include Harley Quinn in the video game Batman: Arkham Knight and other DC Comics projects, Lola Bunny in El show de los Looney Tunes, Unikitty in the series of the same name, and Quinn Airgon in Final Space. She voices Zoey in the Pocket Monsters: Diamond & Pearl series. In addition to her animation work, Castañeda is highly prolific in dubbing for live-action film and television. She is the regular Spanish voice for actresses such as Jennifer Lawrence, Emma Stone, Natalie Dormer, Lily James, and Kate Mara. This has included voicing Lawrence's Mystique in the X-Men film saga and Stone's roles in films like La favorita and Zombieland 2: Tiro de gracia. Her film dubbing credits also include performances for actors in major productions such as the Maze Runner series, the Fast & Furious films, and Sonic: La película.
