Description
Pocoloco is a secondary character in Steel Ball Run, the seventh part of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure series. He is a working-class racer from Trinidad and Tobago who enters the cross-country Steel Ball Run race almost on a whim, after a fortune teller tells him that his luck is about to peak. Taking the prediction at face value, he signs up expecting an easy, fortunate ride, and the race largely unfolds that way for him, making him the franchise's most fortunate character.
As a person, Pocoloco is laid-back, apathetic, and easily unmotivated. Unlike most of the other riders, he has no burning ambition, no bitter rivalry, and no hidden agenda; he is simply carried along by good fortune. He tends to be passive and even lazy, relying on luck and encouragement rather than skill, discipline, or determination. He is also largely unbothered by the many dangers and bizarre incidents that occur around him during the race, treating them as minor inconveniences rather than threats.
His motivation is simple and comes from outside himself. He participates in the race because a fortune teller convinced him that his luck was at its highest point, and he trusts that prediction completely.
