Description
Nikola Tesla is Humanity's representative in the eighth round of the tournament Ragnarok, where he faces the god Beelzebub. Known as the Mad Scientist of the Century, the Child of Light, and Human History's One and Only Sorcerer, he is considered the greatest scientist in human history. In this fictional portrayal, Tesla is a tall, lean man with curly brown hair parted at the front, typically dressed in formal wear with a white shirt, black tie, and waistcoat. His defining personality trait is an insatiable scientific curiosity; he approaches the supernatural powers of the gods with the same rigorous analysis and excitement he would apply to any natural phenomenon. His primary motivation is not merely to win, but to surpass the gods through the power of science and to prove that human ingenuity can overcome divine might, driven by a belief that humanity evolves through failure and innovation. In the story, he is chosen by Brunhilde as one of the thirteen human champions. Through a Volund with the valkyrie Göndul, he gains the Superhuman Automaton Beta, a special suit of armor that channels his scientific knowledge into combat. His key relationship is with his opponent Beelzebub, a mad scientist among the gods, which makes their battle both a physical and intellectual duel. Throughout the fight, Tesla demonstrates notable development by constantly adapting and innovating, analyzing Beelzebub's vibration-based powers and creating countermeasures in real time. His notable abilities are tied directly to his inventions: he can generate and manipulate electricity, create cages of electrical energy, use anti-gravity to fly and move at high speeds, and teleport parts of his body by using coils in his armor. His ultimate technique is the Cross Plasma Pulse Punch, where he teleports one arm behind the opponent while attacking from the front, creating an unavoidable pincer strike. Despite his ingenuity, he is ultimately defeated by Beelzebub after eighteen minutes and six seconds, but his intellect and relentless spirit earn the god's recognition, cementing his role as a legendary figure whose scientific mind challenged the heavens.
