Description
Niki Hanada is a modern-time survivor in the world of Dr. Stone. Originally revived by Tsukasa Shishio, she was initially a loyal member of the Tsukasa Empire before defecting to the Kingdom of Science. Her motivation for switching sides was a deep, personal devotion to the singer Lillian Weinberg; she joined the Kingdom of Science to protect the last surviving copy of Lillian’s song. This devotion also made her a superfan, with extensive knowledge of Lillian’s career and trivia.
Physically, Niki is a tall young woman with an athletic, muscular build, a result of her background as a former judo athlete. She spent her school days training intensely in judo, which left her with considerable physical strength. In the Kingdom of Science, her unofficial role became that of a disciplinarian. She is frequently seen keeping rowdy members like Magma and Yo in line, using her strength and no-nonsense attitude to prevent violence or recklessness. She is also a member of the Power Team, contributing her brawn to the group’s labor and construction efforts.
Niki’s personality is straightforward and practical. She is devoted, protective, and not afraid to speak her mind. While she started as a follower of Tsukasa, she quickly adapted to the Kingdom of Science’s cooperative and scientific ethos. Over the course of the story, she becomes a reliable and trusted ally, using her physical abilities to support Senku’s ambitious projects, including the spaceship initiative. After the main conflicts are resolved, Niki returns to a quieter life, resuming her university studies in the rebuilt civilization.
Her key relationships include her initial loyalty to Tsukasa, which was based on respect but not deep ideological commitment, and her camaraderie with the Kingdom of Science members, especially those she keeps in check. She interacts with Senku, Kohaku, and others as a dependable enforcer and laborer. Her development is marked by a shift from blind allegiance to a chosen cause driven by personal passion and friendship. Notable abilities include her exceptional physical strength, judo training, and a stern presence that commands respect from even the most unruly individuals.
