Description
Anastasia Hoshin is a human woman from the Kararagi City-States. Orphaned in childhood, she began her life working in a bar. There she met Ricardo Welkin, a demi-human enslaved by a collar, and vowed to free him. Despite her own substantial debts and opposition from the local Chamber of Commerce, she produced the funds to settle her obligations and purchase Ricardo’s release. Freed, Ricardo pledged lifelong loyalty to her. She later joined the Ryuushika Business Association, where her sharp business acumen became apparent. Through accumulated wealth, she eventually acquired the company, renaming it the Hoshin Trading Company. Seeking expansion into the Kingdom of Lugunica, she negotiated with the Juukulius family, during which her eligibility for the royal election to become the 42nd ruler of Lugunica was discovered. She is driven by an immense greed and an open desire to own a country as a stepping stone for further acquisitions, yet this avarice is balanced by a powerful sense of loyalty. She refuses to discard the people and assets she considers hers, declaring that once something is hers, it is hers through thick and thin. She speaks with a distinct Kansai dialect. Standing 155 cm tall, she is often adorned in fine dresses, a coat, and a distinctive ushanka hat. A white fox scarf is her constant companion, which is the physical form of her artificial spirit partner, Echidna. Anastasia possesses a genius intellect for commerce and negotiation, but has no inherent combat ability and possesses a defective Gate, making her incapable of using magic without assistance. Echidna grants her resistance to memory manipulation and immunity to possession. When Echidna takes control of her body, she can cast spells on her behalf: Jiwald, a heat ray fired at light speed, and the more powerful El Jiwald, claws of light capable of reducing a human to ashes. Her relationship with her knight, Julius Juukulius, is one of mutual respect, and she takes a personal interest in his well-being. Her bond with Ricardo Welkin is one of deep, mutual trust that dates to her childhood. The Hoshin Trading Company is managed in her absence by a notably overweight vice-president named Chuden.
