Description
On Miyao is a third-year student at Ichirin High School and the president of the school's dance club. She is an average-height girl with dark brown hair that carries a faint purple tint and pinkish-purple eyes. At school she wears the standard Ichirin uniform of a white shirt, tie, and pleated skirt. Her friends and teammates affectionately call her On-chan rather than using her formal surname.
On has been dancing for ten years, making her one of the most experienced members of the club. Her interest in dance was first sparked by the musician Ne-Yo, and over time she became a versatile all-rounder comfortable with many styles, including hip-hop, popping, locking, whacking, and others. Her technical range and consistency have made her a source of admiration for the other dance club members.
In terms of personality, On is bright, passionate, and dependable, with a strong presence and a natural ability to communicate and lead. Because the club's official faculty advisor has little experience with dance, On has taken on the role of coaching the members herself, helping them improve and keeping the club running smoothly. At the same time, she has a notable aversion to being addressed by her formal title of Captain Miyao, which reflects her preference for warm, personal connections with her teammates over a rigid hierarchy.
Despite her confident leadership, On struggles with her own personal relationships and has a hard time managing her feelings, especially when they concern herself. This contrast between her outward strength and her inner difficulty with emotional closeness is a central part of her character. Her core motivation is rooted in her passion for dance and her desire to support those around her, and she tends to pour her energy into helping others grow rather than dwelling on her own vulnerabilities.
Within the dance club, On serves as both a senior mentor and the driving force of the group, guiding the younger first-year members who join and setting the tone for the team. Her role as captain makes her the person others turn to for instruction and direction, and her growth largely revolves around learning to reconcile her leadership duties with her less developed emotional side. Her notable abilities rest on years of training, broad stylistic knowledge, and the capacity to teach and rally others, all of which make her the reliable center of the club.
