Description
Hitoshi Amaya is a central character in the anime, serving as the roommate and classmate of the protagonist, Kazushige Sanda. He is a student at Daikoku Welfare Academy, a middle school in a near-future Japan. Amaya is often nicknamed "Pretty Boy" by those around him due to his feminine facial features and impeccably styled hair.
Initially, Amaya comes across as an antagonist. After witnessing Sanda transform into Santa Claus when their science laboratory was destroyed, Amaya secretly observes him. In a later confrontation, he subdues Sanda and ties him to a chair in order to question him. During this encounter, Amaya displays a calculating, mischievous, and manipulative side, admitting that he enjoys having control over others and teasing Sanda by referring to his Santa form as "grandpa".
