Description
Kuze the Passing Disaster is a paladin who serves a struggling religious organization known as the Order. In the wake of the true Demon Lord’s rampage, the Order crumbled, and all of its members were executed; Kuze alone survived because others feared what would happen if they touched him. He willingly became a scapegoat, shouldering every crime committed by his fallen comrades so that the faith they shared would not be extinguished. This history left him to function as an immortal cleaner, carrying out assassinations and eliminating threats that could further destabilize his already diminished group.
On the surface, Kuze appears worn and detached. He is a man in his late thirties with unshaven stubble, tired brown eyes that often look unfocused, and short black hair. He wears a long black ceremonial robe embroidered with angel motifs and lugs a massive shield that resembles a portable wall. His manner is dry and self-deprecating; he cracks deadpan jokes and makes pessimistic remarks, as if he finds little value in his own existence. That humor, however, masks a profound sense of responsibility and an unyielding commitment to his cause.
What makes Kuze truly dangerous is not his own physical strength, which he admits is unremarkable, but his bond with Nastique the Quiet Singer, an angelic assassin that only he can perceive. Nastique has existed since the dawn of creation as an absolute force of death. She is invisible to everyone else, immune to interference, and capable of killing her targets instantly regardless of their power or defenses. She wields a monstrous dagger and acts on Kuze’s behalf whenever his life is in danger, making him effectively untouchable. Because of her, Kuze enters the chaotic conflict among self-proclaimed demon kings with a single-minded objective: to revive the Order and restore its lost influence. Underneath his lazy smile and weary demeanor, he is a man driven by the weight of his organization’s survival, ready to become a passing disaster for anyone who stands in his way.
