Description
Yoshitatsu Matori, a 47-year-old yakuza branch leader with black hair, engages in organized crime while operating as a con artist. He deceives victims for money using multiple phone identities. His surname Matori translates to "hemp, flax" and "take, fetch, take up," while his given name Yoshitatsu blends "righteous" and "dragon"—a contrast to his criminal actions.

He exhibits obsessive devotion to his son Nobuto Matori, killed by Tetsuo Tosu after Nobuto abused Tosu’s daughter. Yoshitatsu acts as a "parental idiot," immediately launching searches if Nobuto goes unreachable for eight hours. After Nobuto’s disappearance, he leverages yakuza resources to investigate, threatening syndicate withdrawal if answers aren’t provided. His personality merges cold calculation with fierce loyalty to his son, though he later confesses he never physically embraced Nobuto or grasped love until it was too late.

Analyses identify him as an ISTJ personality—practical, duty-bound, emotionally reserved—and an Enneagram Type 6w5, driven by fear of lacking support and relying on intellect for security. He employs psychological manipulation and violence against perceived threats, including threats of sexual assault against Tosu’s family. Despite his criminality, he adheres to a personal code of honor within his organization.

His pursuit of vengeance for Nobuto’s death fuels central conflicts. His story concludes with an undescribed downfall framed as getting "what he deserved."
