Description
Azest Kingscrown is a central character known as the main heroine of her story. She is a student at the Hebrion Academy, but her true identity is that of the empire's princess, the only daughter of the current emperor. Her real name is Azest Zed F. Roguepalace, and she uses the surname Kingscrown as a pseudonym to hide her royal lineage and attend the academy without being recognized by her peers or the faculty.

Physically, Azest is a tall and majestic figure with long platinum blonde hair that she typically keeps braided on the left side. Her eyes are a striking golden yellow, and her overall appearance, combined with her expressionless demeanor, gives her a regal and unapproachable aura. This has led to her being nicknamed the Ice Queen or Ice Empress. When she uses her ice magic, her platinum hair takes on a frost-like appearance.

In terms of personality, Azest is initially characterized by her cool indifference and a distinct lack of emotion, making her difficult to read. Years of being an unchallenged and dominant magic swordsman in the shadow world contributed to her distant and aloof nature. This changes after she meets Desir Arman. Her first defeat at his hands during the academy entrance exam shatters her boredom and sparks a sense of curiosity within her. Desir's persistent refusal to treat her differently, even after discovering her true identity as a princess, gradually softens her reserve and draws her into a deeper sense of camaraderie with her peers.

Azest's primary motivation is shaped by a catastrophic alternate timeline. In a previous life, before Desir returned to the past, she was one of the last six survivors who fought against the Shadow Labyrinth. This experience, which ultimately led to the world's destruction, hardened her resolve in the present timeline. She is driven to use her immense power to prevent this future from occurring, balancing her duties as the heir to the throne with her life as a student and a key member of Desir's party.

Within the story, Azest serves as a powerhouse and a crucial ally. As one of the "last six" from the doomed future, she is recognized as one of the strongest magic swordsmen. Her role involves joining Desir in confronting the shadow realms, where her abilities are essential for survival and victory. Her key relationship is with Desir Arman, who serves as both her rival and the catalyst for her personal growth. Her defeat by him and his subsequent actions lead her to open up and become a more integrated member of the group. She also forms bonds with her other classmates, moving from a position of isolation to one of trusted partnership.

Azest shows significant development throughout the narrative. Her talent, already of the highest level, flourishes further under Desir's influence. For instance, she masters a magical swordsmanship technique on her own a full decade earlier than she did in her previous life, simply because Desir pushed her to realize her potential. She also demonstrates an incredible aptitude for learning and copying complex magics after seeing them performed by others. Her personal journey is one of moving from a secretive and solitary existence to one where she learns to trust and rely on her companions, all while coming to terms with her identity as both a princess and a student.

Azest is a formidable magic swordsman who specializes in ice magic and wields a blade with skill that rivals a knight's. She was already a high-level 3rd Circle mage upon entering the academy and progresses to the 4th Circle as the story continues. Her combat style seamlessly combines elemental ice magic with swordsmanship, making her an adaptable specialist in both close-quarters and long-range combat.

Her notable abilities include her unique Arcane Magic, which is a large-scale attack and defense spell. This magic manifests as a beautiful but deadly Frozen Palace or Frozen Throne, an ice structure that allows her to deploy spells instantly within its boundaries. Another form, Ice Empress, condenses her mana to enhance her physical abilities. She also wields a powerful ice-attribute sword named the Center of Extreme Ice, which she obtained as a condition for liberating a tribe, and it functions almost as her exclusive weapon.
