However, his true allegiances are more complex. It is eventually revealed that Glorio is secretly working for a figure named Dr. Arinsu, who is the elder sister of the Supreme Kai, Shin. While he claims his goal is to depose Gomah because he is an evil ruler who abuses innocent demons, he often appears disconnected from this cause, suggesting that his employer, Arinsu, has her own larger ambitions for the Demon World.

In the story, Glorio acts as a guide and companion to Goku and Shin during their journey through the Demon World. His role is initially that of a mysterious sponsor who provides transportation and navigates the strange new world. The Supreme Kai remains highly suspicious of him, noting that his knowledge of Goku's shrunken state is suspicious and that his story does not fully add up. Goku, however, is less concerned and becomes interested in Glorio's strength and abilities. Despite his secret mission to report back to Dr. Arinsu about the group's progress, Glorio gradually shows signs of camaraderie and begins to genuinely collaborate with the team, demonstrating a growing loyalty that may eventually conflict with his original orders. A key relationship is his patron, Dr. Arinsu, to whom he provides secret status reports, but his interactions with the Z Fighters, particularly the trusting and powerful Goku, begin to shape his development, pulling him from a detached mercenary role toward something resembling a true ally.

Glorio is a proficient and pragmatic fighter who impresses even Goku with his skills. He is highly effective at both close and long range. His primary equipment is a magic pistol or firearm that can fire rapid, accurate ki-like energy blasts. In addition to his marksmanship, Glorio possesses a unique form of magic that allows him to generate and manipulate electricity. This lightning magic appears as pink or purple bolts that he can shape into various attacks, such as firing thin destructive blasts from a finger, unleashing bursts of lightning from his palm, or forming an energy whip. He is also a skilled hand-to-hand combatant, capable of performing powerful physical combos. While his abilities are formidable, they are shown to be no match for the power of a Super Saiyan, as demonstrated during a sparring session with Goku.
