Description
Yoshiki Takarada manages and leads as head chef at Sapporo's soup curry restaurant Voyager. He enforces punctuality strictly, issuing warnings about potential termination to Minare Koda for repeated tardiness. Takarada directs operations, including blog updates and customer service, intervening when Minare shares internal strategies with patrons. Following Minare's first radio broadcast, he sets conditions for her continued employment, requiring standard duties without disruption. Upon learning of her part-time radio opportunity, he acknowledges her career advancement but faces her criticism over low wages; he later terminates her employment not for performance, but due to her perceived misalignment with his "Dreamland of Bread and Curry" culinary vision.
At a festival, Takarada clarifies Minare's brief radio promotion referred only to a temporary stand, not the main restaurant. He is hospitalized after a traffic accident caused by Makie Tachibana's brother, Toru Tachibana, and contacts employee Chuya Nakahara to delegate restaurant management during his recovery. While recovering, he chooses not to press charges against Toru, a decision Minare attributes to Toru's attractiveness, leaving Takarada silent. His appearance features black hair, a mustache, and a work uniform of a white apron with a red scarf. His given name Yoshiki combines "applaud/praise" (嘉) and "tree" (樹); his surname Takarada means "treasure" (宝) and "field/rice paddy" (田).
