Description
Landon is a supporting character in Pokémon Horizons: The Series and a fisherman by trade. He was born in Olivine City in the Johto region. In his youth, Landon was a famous movie actor known as Guy Silver, starring in a series of films titled "VS Sharpedo". Eventually he left the public eye and turned to fishing, acquiring a boat that would later become the airship known as the Brave Olivine. Landon is a founding member of the Rising Volt Tacklers, a group of adventurers who travel the world.

Landon tends to keep to himself and often spends his free time fishing, but he is wise and offers thoughtful advice to the younger members. He is calm and observant, rarely speaking unless he has something meaningful to say. Despite his quiet demeanor, he cares deeply for his companions and takes on a protective role, especially toward the children Liko, Roy, and Dot. His past as a celebrity shows in his secret superhero identity, Mighty G, which he uses to protect the sea. However, his age limits this transformation to about three minutes, and he finds the effort physically taxing.

Landon’s motivations stem from a desire to support his friends and to live a simple, purposeful life. He originally joined the Rising Volt Tacklers after his friend Friede asked to use his boat, and he agreed to accompany Friede to have Orla convert it into an airship. Over the course of the series, Landon demonstrates strong loyalty to the group and often acts as a guardian, staying behind to watch the ship or protect the younger members. His role within the team is that of the elder fisherman and occasional pilot, contributing his knowledge of the sea and his Pokémon partners.

Key relationships include his long-standing friendship with Friede, whom he trusts implicitly. He also forms a bond with Liko, Roy, and Dot, acting as a grandfatherly figure. He interacts with other crew members like Murdock, Orla, and Mollie, though he mostly keeps to himself. Landon’s Pokémon partners are a Quagsire, which he uses for surfing and rain dance, and a Sharpedo, which he deploys while in his Mighty G form. He also cares for the Fuecoco on the ship, noting its love of singing.

Landon’s character develops as his past is gradually revealed. In an episode focused on his return to Olivine City, he shows the younger protagonists how much the town has changed and confronts his own past as Guy Silver. He struggles with the physical strain of being Mighty G, acknowledging that he is no longer as strong as he once was, but he continues to step up when needed. After the events in Laqua and the disappearance of Friede, Landon agrees with the other adults to disband the Rising Volt Tacklers, but he returns when Orla restores the Brave Olivine, ready to reunite with the team. His notable abilities include expert fishing, piloting, and the capacity to assume a superhero persona, Mighty G, which grants him enhanced strength and the ability to command his Sharpedo in rescue operations. He also demonstrates skill in using his Quagsire to create waves and control water for defense.
