TV-Series
Description
Shirou Kokufu is a supporting character in the investigative organization Kura. Initially an assistant to Sarina Togo within the Wellside division, he operates the Mizuhanome System. This technology accesses the subconscious "id wells" of serial killers. Kokufu analyzes real-time data projected from these wells and supports field agents.
Following FILE: 13 Channeled II, he becomes Chief of Kura, succeeding Takuhiko Hayaseura. As Chief, he organizes effectively and strategizes during crises. Though his command style can seem cold, he ensures operational efficiency.
Physically, Kokufu is a relatively short young man with gray hair and violet eyes. He typically wears a black suit, dark gray shirt, and lighter gray tie, often with a black earpiece. He carries a handgun. For somber occasions, he wears formal black funeral attire with a white shirt and black tie.
His personality blends reliability with visible anxiety. He remains focused and earned trust leading to his promotion despite his junior status. Yet under pressure, he displays nervous mannerisms like adjusting his tie or sweating. When personally endangered or confronted with shocking revelations, he may scream or show pronounced surprise. His Wellside background provides strong analytical skills, enabling seamless reintegration into investigations when needed.
He appears in nine episodes, the highest appearance count in the series. His name reflects his role: "Shirou" combines characters for "officer/boss" and "son," while "Kokufu" signifies "country" and "borough/government office."
