Wataru Katō is a Japanese voice actor from Tokyo, born on July 17, 1997. He is affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise. Katō is a graduate of the Japan Narration Acting Institute and began his professional career in 2015 after joining I'm Enterprise.

His early career consisted of minor and supporting roles in various anime television series throughout the late 2010s. He appeared in productions such as Long Riders!, Magic of Stella, Doreiku, Killing Bites, Ahiru no Sora, and Hi Score Girl. His first notable named role came in 2020 when he was cast as Kokufu in the science fiction mystery series ID: INVADED. This was followed by the role of Martis Jun Asari in the 2022 sports anime Aoashi.

The year 2023 marked a significant turning point in his career with several lead roles. He starred as the main protagonist, Rentarō Aijō, in the romantic comedy The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You. That same year, he also voiced Touka Scott in the fantasy parody The Legendary Hero Is Dead! and Squale Mill Kadorecheck in Sweet Reincarnation.

In 2024, Katō's prominence continued to grow with high-profile roles. He was cast as Reno Ichikawa in the popular action series Kaiju No. 8 and as Kabru in the critically acclaimed fantasy series Delicious in Dungeon. He also voiced Fenfen in Dungeon People. Looking ahead, he is set to reprise his role as Rentarō Aijō in the second season of The 100 Girlfriends and appears in upcoming series such as May I Ask for One Final Thing? as Julius von Paristan and You and I Are Polar Opposites as Taira.
