Description
Garuru is a light purple Keronian who holds the rank of first lieutenant and leads the Garuru Platoon. He first appears when his unit is assigned to take over the invasion mission of Pekopon, the Keronian name for Earth, from the Keroro Platoon. He is the older brother of Giroro, a member of that platoon, and though a slight rivalry exists between them, Garuru actively shields his younger brother. This is shown when he tampers with evidence to make the Keroro Platoon appear more competent, ensuring Giroro can remain on Pekopon.

He wears a dark purple hat and distinctive pointy yellow goggles with thick black outlines that conceal his eyes. His personal symbol is a red, upside-down "A" with a central downward line, resembling either a wolf's face or a skull. His belt is similar to Giroro’s but oriented with the round part facing forward.

Garuru is unable to use chopsticks effectively, an inability that once resulted in him accidentally stabbing a tiger horse's eye. In his youth, he enjoyed listening to loud rock music.

His deep care for Giroro extends to protecting him from other figures like Zurara and Gururu, and he is actively searching for his brother after losing contact. As a leader, he expresses strong loyalty to his platoon, stating he could not have a better team. His relationship with the team’s medic, Pururu, is notable; he admits the entire platoon would be lost without her skills, and she appears to harbor a slight romantic crush on him. The Keroro Platoon initially fears Garuru and his team as higher-ranking officials, but after shared experiences such as a battle for Pekopon, their dynamic shifts to one of friendship, though some fear may linger.
