Movie
Description
Chianti is a member of the Black Organization who serves as a professional sniper in its assassination division. She first appeared in the manga and anime and has since become a recurring figure, including in the twenty-sixth movie. Her codename is derived from the Chianti wine of Italy.

Standing out with a distinctive appearance, Chianti has short, light brown or yellow hair styled in a bob and is typically clad in tight black leather outfits. The most notable aspect of her look is the tattoo of a swallowtail butterfly wing located on her left eyelid, often accompanied by heavy black eyeshadow. Her attire is usually completed with black gloves and a black collar or choker.

In personality, Chianti is portrayed as a wild, ruthless, and aggressive assassin who demonstrates a clear enjoyment for killing. She is extremely impatient and has been cautioned by Gin, a high-ranking fellow operative, against shooting innocent targets merely out of boredom. Her language is characteristically harsh and abusive, reflecting her volatile and aggressive demeanor. While she shows a degree of fear towards the Organization's enigmatic boss, she is less subservient towards Gin, often displaying open frustration. Her primary motivation stems from a deep-seated hatred for her colleague Vermouth. She holds Vermouth responsible for the death of Calvados, a fellow sniper. It is implied that Calvados had feelings for Vermouth, and Chianti believes Vermouth exploited this affection, leading to his death. This animosity is a constant driving force, and she has expressed a strong desire to kill Vermouth, a wish she has not acted upon only because of direct orders from their superior, the boss.

Chianti's role within the Black Organization is almost exclusively that of a sniper. She is rarely seen on missions alone and almost always operates in tandem with her partner, Korn. The two form a highly effective and practiced assassination team, similar to the more famous duo of Gin and Vodka. Their relationship is one of deep professional trust and mutual understanding. While it has been clarified that they are not romantically involved in a dating capacity, there is a clear bond between them. She confides in him, notably her feelings about Vermouth, and the two work together seamlessly on assignments. Despite her hatred for Vermouth, her interactions with Kir, another female operative, are described as cordial.

Throughout the story, whether in the main series or the movies, Chianti and Korn are typically deployed to carry out long-range eliminations. They take orders from higher-ranking members like Gin and have also directly received instructions from Rum, another senior figure in the organization. In her movie appearances, her role remains consistent as an enforcer, often positioned at vantage points to provide lethal cover or execute planned assassinations. A notable scene from one of the films shows her discovering a target's location and later engaging in a sniper duel of sorts, demonstrating her skills under pressure. Another movie appearance depicted her piloting a V-22 Osprey, showcasing a versatility beyond just her marksmanship.

Chianti is an exceptionally skilled sniper, recognized within the Black Organization as a top-tier assassin alongside Korn. Her effective range is cited as 600 yards, a considerable distance. However, it is explicitly noted that she is outmatched by the FBI sniper Shuichi Akai, whose range and precision extend significantly beyond her own to over 700 yards. Her weapon of choice is the Heckler & Koch PSG-1 semi-automatic sniper rifle. Beyond her sniping proficiency, she is also a highly capable driver, possessing and frequently driving a blue Dodge Viper sports car, which she handles with great skill.
