Kijimunā is a youkai encountered by the protagonist Utsunomiko in a place called Akonaha. She has the appearance of a young child with distinctive red hair. When first met, Kijimunā is attacking local villagers, which prompts Utsunomiko to confront her with the intention of defeating her. Following her defeat, her behavior changes significantly, and she begins to assist Utsunomiko as a companion. Kijimunā claims that she was originally a god before descending to the earth. Her stated objective is to create a kingdom for youkai, which is the reason she was aiding other youkai prior to meeting Utsunomiko. Within the larger narrative, she joins the small group of companions who accompany Utsunomiko on his journey, including his ascent to the heavenly realm.
