Yūko Mita is a Japanese actress and voice actress born Yūko Iguchi on August 14, 1954, in Setagaya, Tokyo. A graduate of Seisen University, she has been active in the voice acting industry since 1976 and is affiliated with the talent management firm Aoni Production. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her versatility, frequently portraying characters ranging from gentle and charming young women to energetic young boys.

Mita has an extensive filmography that spans numerous decades and some of the most iconic series in anime history. She is well-known for her role as Neko Musume in the 1985 series Gegege no Kitarō. Another of her prominent performances from the same era is Akemi Roppongi, the colorful neighbor in the beloved romantic comedy Maison Ikkoku. In the realm of science fiction, she voiced the character Ochame in Future Robot Daltanious and provided the voice for Benten in the classic series Urusei Yatsura.

Her career also includes leading roles in several productions. She played the titular character in Akuma-kun, and voiced Shinzō Hattori in Ninja Hattori-kun. She was also the voice behind P-ko in Obake no Q-Tarō and Pokonyan in Rocky Rackat!, demonstrating her talent for bringing animal and comedic characters to life.
