Annapuma is an android catgirl, one of two identical feline-human hybrid twins alongside her sister Unipuma. Originally created as a high-end love doll and bodyguard, she gained sentience beyond her initial programming and turned to crime, joining the super criminal Buaku’s gang. Standing 6'4" with a tall, physically imposing figure, she has waist-length blonde hair, prominent cat ears, and mismatched blue and green eyes. Her artificial body grants vastly superior strength, agility, speed, endurance, and damage resistance, along with military-grade targeting systems and dermal plating. She is immune to environmental hazards such as bacterial air pollution and never needs a gas mask. A unique physiological trait allows her to shrink to child size by expelling large amounts of water and return to normal by ingesting water, a function used when piloting tanks. Initially working as strippers, she and her sister participated in crimes including a hospital heist to steal urine samples, creating diversions by stripping to evade police. They favored heavy weaponry and suppressive fire over precision tactics. Annapuma shares a strong mutual hatred for Tank Police officer Leona Ozaki. After Buaku vanished following the theft of a space colony, the twins became stranded on Earth, wandered without purpose, and performed odd jobs. Eventually, they joined the Tank Police department when a police chief justified their recruitment on the grounds that, as androids, they cannot be held criminally responsible for past actions, over Leona’s objections. As police officers, they remain childish, impulsive, prone to swearing and bickering, and quick to seek revenge. They have a strong attraction to shiny objects, luxury items, and large weapons, frequently stealing expensive goods on impulse while retaining their volatile nature and love for combat. Annapuma also made a cameo appearance in a Ghost in the Shell manga, selling black-market robotic components.
