Description
**Shinnosuke Kanomura**, nicknamed Shinno, exists simultaneously in two temporal states. At seventeen, he is a passionate high school guitarist dating Akane Aioi and performing in a band with drummer Masamichi Nakamura. His dedication inspires Akane's younger sister Aoi to take up bass. He and Akane plan to move to Tokyo after graduation for music careers, but these plans collapse after Akane and Aoi's parents die in a car accident. Akane stays in Chichibu to raise Aoi, ending their relationship and forcing Shinnosuke to depart for Tokyo alone.
Thirteen years later, the thirty-one-year-old Shinnosuke returns to Chichibu as guitarist for enka star Dankichi Nitobe's band during a music festival. His demeanor is now distant and arrogant, perceived as rude by Akane and Aoi—a stark shift from his youthful self, fueled by unresolved regret over his separation from Akane and abandoned dreams.
Concurrently, a physical manifestation of his seventeen-year-old self, explicitly called Shinno, materializes near a Chichibu rehearsal hall as an *ikiryō* (living ghost).
