Description
Vérone is the prince of Convictis within the Estrie Kingdoms, operating in the Inquisition without an official rank. His role involves maintaining order across Pharenos by combating infected sorcerers who threaten civilians. As a Thaumaturge, he serves under General Torque's command.

Physically, Vérone is a young boy possessing blue eyes, blonde curly hair, and a baby tooth. He wears a dark red coat fastened at the waist with a cord, featuring a large hood and an Inquisitorial collar, paired with black trousers and ribboned leggings.

His personality is formal and emotionally reserved. He adheres strictly to regulations and leverages his youthful appearance to lull adversaries into complacency before deploying his abilities. Vérone is autistic. His upbringing lacked familial affection, evident when he struggles to articulate his emotional state after being asked if he is well—a question he had never encountered before.

Vérone's primary combat ability is his Thaumaturge Miracle, "Voix pétrifiant les impurs" (Voice that Petrifies the Impure). This power generates an invisible enclosure marked by a giant halo; ringing his bell petrifies everything within this area, shattering the petrified objects or beings.

Within the Inquisition, he holds the rank of Cadet, granting him authority to direct soldiers in Inquisition-controlled territories. His mother is Colonel Ullmina Bagliore, a fellow Thaumaturge. His father is Vulkéus, the King of Convictis. Vulkéus was compelled by Ullmina to acknowledge Vérone as a prince but denies him inheritance rights. Their familial relationship remains discreet to uphold Inquisition hierarchy.

During the Caislean Merlin conflict, Vérone participated in the Inquisition's assault on the Knight-Sorcerers. He assisted Colonel Santori in ambushing Lord Brangoire, severing part of his leg. Later, he confronted Doc, who was clad in the Pen Draig armor. The battle concluded with Vérone incapacitated by his own power. After awakening, he witnessed his mother's near-fatal encounter with Seth and pleaded for her to cease using her Miracle.

In the Bôme arc, Vérone attended classes at the Hampe Academy alongside Doc. He shared meals with Doc and reassured other children about safety following Domitor attacks. He deduced Doc's connection to Knight-Sorcerers after Doc revealed knowledge of Vérone's prior defeat. During a parade for Ullmina's promotion, Domitors attacked, trapping Vérone and others underwater. He later found Ullmina unconscious after the incident. Visiting her bedside with Doc, Vérone encountered his father, Vulkéus, who reiterated that Vérone would never inherit the throne. Later, upon discovering Doc's abduction by Seth, Vérone speculated Seth could manipulate emotions. He returned to Ullmina's room to find her strangling him under her Miracle's influence before she regained control.

Vérone's namesake is Pierre de Vérone, a historical inquisitor.
