Description
Lupitheon is a wolf-like Bakugan of the Ventus attribute, his physical design incorporating distinct werewolf traits that reflect a nature shifting under moonlight. Discovered by his human partner Wynton Styles on Wynton’s birthday during the episode "Mister Moon," this encounter forged their partnership. Lupitheon possesses a dual nature: typically gentle and fiercely loyal, he expresses remorse when lunar phases trigger heightened aggression. Under moonlight, his combat abilities intensify significantly, granting surges in strength and agility that occasionally render him uncontrollable in battle, posing challenges for Wynton.
A significant early conflict saw Lupitheon assist in freeing Drago and Trox from Colonel Tripp’s B-Mine control. Despite exhaustion from a prior battle, his moon-enhanced power proved pivotal in defeating the brainwashed Bakugan. Later captured by Tripp using a B-Mine device, Lupitheon was subsequently infected alongside Tripp with the V-Virus by Tiko, converting them both into Bakuzon entities. Lupitheon remained corrupted until the conflict climaxed within the Great Core Cell Temple. Following Tiko’s defeat and the eradication of the V-Virus, he was restored to his original form alongside other affected beings.
Beyond his core Ventus incarnation, Lupitheon manifests in alternate variants. An Aquos variant partnered with Bethany appeared during the "Geogan Rising" storyline. Later, in "Evolutions," another Aquos variant was utilized by Hank, while a separate Ventus variant partnered with an unnamed child, confirming his recurring presence across the series.
In the physical Bakugan trading card game, Lupitheon is associated with ability cards including "Sonic Howl," "Ventus Moon Beam," "Crescent Claw," and "Rabid Attack," among others. His B-Power stat varies by faction and form, such as 500B for Ventus Ultra variants and 400B for Haos variants.
