Description
Haru Okumura, sole heir to Okumura Foods president Kunikazu Okumura, grew up under her father's oppressive control within a life of privilege. This upbringing stifled her self-expression and fostered obedience. At Shujin Academy, her withdrawn demeanor and avoidance of social situations earned her an eccentric reputation, rooted in deep trust issues from past encounters where peers and authority figures feigned kindness to exploit her family's influence.

Her father arranged her engagement to the abusive Sugimura to advance his political-commercial ambitions, symbolizing her lack of agency. Initial reluctance to oppose her father delayed her Persona awakening. Her path to rebellion began upon encountering Morgana, a stranded Phantom Thief, within her father's Palace—a metaphysical realm reflecting his distorted desires. Collaborating to steal his Treasure, she adopted the tentative alias "Beauty Thief" but stumbled through rehearsed introductions due to insecurity.

The Phantom Thieves' rescue from Sugimura's assault solidified her decision to join them. She embraced the codename "Noir" (French for "black") as a vigilante. Her Persona Milady fully awakened when she confronted her father's cognitive counterpart in his Palace, where he admitted viewing her as a political pawn. This shattered her residual loyalty. After Kunikazu's public atonement and subsequent death—wrongly blamed on the Phantom Thieves—Haru mourned him while recalling their earlier, uncorrupted bond.

Following her father's death, she managed corporate duties at Okumura Foods while fending off Sugimura's attempts to enforce the marriage. Through Confidant interactions, she cultivated vegetables and coffee beans on Shujin's rooftop, aspiring to open a café honoring her grandfather's principles. Stand-in president Takakura validated her vision and revealed the engagement lacked legal binding, enabling its annulment. Freed, she pursued business and agricultural studies in college, with Milady evolving into Astarte reflecting her growth.

In *Persona 5 Royal*, reality-altering illusions briefly restored Kunikazu as uncorrupted and alive. Haru rejected this false reality for undermining her hard-won autonomy. In *Persona 5 Strikers*, she aided the Phantom Thieves as a college student during summer vacation. Her tangential connection to antagonist Mariko Hyodo—a mayor corrupted into a Jail ruler—stemmed from childhood interactions, reiterating parental legacy themes without new development.

Physically, she has chin-length curly auburn hair and brown eyes. Her attire features modified school uniforms: a pink cardigan with white accents in winter, a purple sleeveless sweater in summer, and casual pastel/ floral outfits. As Noir, she wears a cavalier hat, pink blouse, and black corset, wielding an axe and grenade launcher. Her combat abilities emphasize psychokinesis, gun proficiency, and support skills like Tetrakarn/Makarakarn for damage reflection.

Personality blends surface gentleness with unexpected contrasts: politeness and refinement juxtapose against combat sadism, exhilaration when enemies beg, and stress relief through fighting. Betrayal evokes passive-aggression, signaled by an eerie smile during romantic confrontations. Interests include horror films, abandoned ballet (due to her father's neglect), and gardening—symbolizing her nurturing side. She treasures small freedoms like in-person shopping, bonds closely with the Phantom Thieves, insists on first-name usage, and coins nicknames like "Mako-chan" for Makoto.

Her name ("spring") potentially references feminist pioneer Raicho Hiratsuka, aligning with themes of rebirth and independence. Across media, her arc consistently depicts breaking familial control to forge her own future.
