Description
Mobile Infantry trooper Guy Cunningham, known by the call sign Ratzass, serves within the Starship Troopers universe. A member of the Roughnecks K-12 Team, Ratzass displays limited intelligence coupled with fierce loyalty and constant combat readiness, following orders without hesitation or regard for personal risk.

His first documented action occurs at Fort Casey during the capture of the Queen Bug. Surviving this mission, he boards the FAS Alesia. Aboard the Alesia, he interacts with troopers from the A-01 unit, including an unsuccessful attempt to flirt with the corporal designated Ice Blonde. He also engages in a physical altercation with trooper Chow, unexpectedly employing ballet-inspired maneuvers to hold his own against initial mockery. When the John A. Warden vanishes, Ratzass vocally advocates for the trooper "Hero" to lead the rescue mission.

Ratzass survives the subsequent crash landing of the John A. Warden on Earth. During the incident, he plants explosives in the engine room and aids in the evacuation before the ship's destruction. His actions lead to a promotion to Sergeant Major.

Reassigned to the Nemesis space station orbiting Mars, he becomes Colonel Johnny Rico's right-hand man, tasked with training inexperienced Martian recruits nicknamed the "Lost Patrol." He voices skepticism about the recruits' abilities and expresses concern over Rico's plan to deploy them during the Bug invasion of Mars. Despite his reservations, he chooses to accompany Rico and the recruits to the planet's surface, declaring his loyalty to his commander.

On Mars, Ratzass fights alongside Rico and the recruits. Evacuating aboard a landing ship damaged by Bug plasma, he executes a HALO jump. During the descent, his helmet's air seal fails, exposing him to the vacuum of space and resulting in death by freezing.

Ratzass is frequently depicted interacting with fellow trooper Bugspray. He primarily wields a Morita Mk III SAW but switches to a twin-barreled Gatling gun during intense combat. His death concludes his recurring role within the depicted military operations.
