TV-Series
Description
Misaka 10032 is the 10032nd clone of Mikoto Misaka and a member of the Misaka Sisters, a group of twenty thousand clones created from Mikoto’s DNA for the Level 6 Shift experiment in Academy City. She is one of the most prominently featured clones across the series and is often referred to as Misaka Imoto or simply Misaka. She first appears during the Sisters Arc, where she is introduced as a quiet, emotionless girl who speaks in a monotone voice and uses a distinctive third-person speech pattern, often describing her own actions as she performs them. Her appearance is nearly identical to Mikoto, with short brown hair and gray eyes, and she typically wears a Tokiwadai Middle School uniform or a military-style outfit with goggles.

Due to her rapid creation as a clone, Misaka 10032 initially displays limited emotional expression and social understanding. She is described by others as a cool beauty, level-headed and unfazed by most situations. However, beneath this reserved exterior, she possesses a childlike innocence and a genuine concern for her fellow sisters. She has a notable soft spot for cats and keeps a small black kitten as a pet, a detail that hints at her emerging individuality. Her motivations are centered on finding a sense of belonging and purpose; she seeks connection with others and questions her own identity as a clone. This search for meaning drives much of her character growth.

In the story, Misaka 10032 plays a pivotal role in the Sisters Arc. She is the clone assigned to fight Accelerator, the Level 5 esper tasked with killing the clones to advance his power. During this encounter, Touma Kamijou intervenes, stops the fight, and saves her life. This event not only halts the experiment but also marks a turning point for Misaka 10032. Touma gives her a special necklace, which she treasures as a symbol of her individual worth separate from the original Mikoto. Afterward, she continues to appear in later story arcs, gradually developing a stronger sense of self and a desire to live and protect her sisters.

Her key relationships include her bond with Mikoto Misaka, her original, who feels guilt and a strong protective instinct toward the clones. Touma Kamijou is another central figure; his recognition of her humanity helps her grow beyond her programmed role. She also shares a deep connection with the other Misaka Sisters through the Misaka Network, a telepathic link that allows them to share memories and communicate instantly. This network reinforces her sense of community with her sisters and often provides critical information to allies.

Her abilities are a diminished version of Mikoto’s electromaster powers. She can generate and control electricity, though at a weaker output, and can fire electrical projectiles. Her most notable power is Radio Noise, a psychic ability that enables her to transmit thoughts and memories across the Misaka Network, effectively allowing the sisters to share experiences and coordinate. This connection is both a strength and a limitation, as it ties her closely to the collective mind of the sisters, but it also facilitates rapid information exchange.

Over the course of the series, Misaka 10032 undergoes meaningful development. She begins as an emotionless tool created for an experiment but gradually learns to express feelings, make decisions for herself, and value her own existence. Her determination to live and protect her sisters becomes a defining trait, and she evolves from a passive participant to an active, courageous character who stands up for her own life and the lives of others. Her story explores themes of identity, individuality, and the ethics of cloning, making her a sympathetic and memorable figure within the larger narrative of Academy City.
