Description
Ayame Yomogawa, eldest daughter and heir of the Yomogawa family, governs Aragane Station until her father perishes in a Kabane assault. Thrust into leadership aboard the Koutetsujou, she confronts self-doubt and inexperience while guiding survivors. Initially dependent on advisors, she strives to shield her people yet grapples with asserting authority amid entrenched societal prejudices.

A master archer, she employs a steam-powered bow in combat, merging strategic insight with physical prowess. Following Aragane’s collapse, she allies with outcasts Ikoma and Mumei, advocating for their acceptance despite public fear. Her bond with Kurusu, her steadfast bodyguard, reflects her trust in loyal allies, though she steadily cultivates autonomy in command.

Captured by the Hunters and imprisoned in Katsujo, she escapes to lead survivors to Kongou Fortress. Her evolution crystallizes during *The Battle of Unato*: assuming control of the Hokuriku Allied Forces after Genro’s death, she rallies fleeing soldiers by condemning fear-driven desertion as spiritual surrender to the Kabane. This act galvanizes forces, cementing her matured resolve.

Ayame’s journey transforms her from an uncertain noble into a decisive strategist who champions unity and justice over rigid tradition. Her leadership philosophy centers on safeguarding survival and human dignity amidst pervasive distrust. During Unato’s liberation, she orchestrates military campaigns and alliances with precision, all while maintaining unwavering compassion for those under her protection.
