Yatsude is a demon antagonist appearing in the "Two Shots" manga chapter and its OVA adaptation. His mutated, primitive demonic form displays a perpetually dumbfounded expression, buck teeth, and long, stringy hair parted at the center of his skull. Eight appendages with dexterous digits form his body: the bottom two function as legs, a muscular pair extends from his upper torso, and a smaller set protrudes from his head where ears would typically be, each ending in long, sharp claws. He wears only a loin cloth and a belt adorned with skulls missing lower jaws, believed to be his victims' remains.

Driven by a goal to gain strength through consuming powerful beings, he explicitly prefers females of any species. He targets Shuichi Minamino (Kurama’s human identity) after uncovering his true nature as the fox demon Kurama, seeking enhanced power through consumption. He orders the abduction of Maya Kitajima, Shuichi’s human schoolmate, then kills and consumes the subordinate who abducted her for sustenance, reiterating his preference for female prey.

His actions indirectly catalyze a temporary alliance between Kurama and Hiei. After Hiei attacks Kurama, they identify Yatsude as a mutual enemy. Kurama, recognizing he cannot defeat Yatsude alone, seeks Hiei’s power, while Hiei suspects Yatsude may have consumed his sister Yukina, strengthening their partnership. They track him to his lair in an abandoned doll factory, where he combines doll parts with preserved body parts of victims.

During the factory confrontation, Yatsude ambushes Kurama and Hiei from behind. The battle demonstrates his combat prowess and resilience, though Kurama severs one limb with his leaf blade technique. After initially overwhelming the duo, they coordinate attacks and dismember him, separating his head and legs from his torso. Defeated, Yatsude confirms Maya’s safety and reveals he never consumed an ice maiden (Yukina), implying such consumption would have made him unbeatable.
