Description
Miyo Akino, deceased at age seven due to kidnapping and murder, is the ghostly older sister of Matsuki Akino. She resides at Shuukou Lodge.

Her appearance features blond hair, light greyish blue or blue/green eyes, and a typical white flowy dress.

Initially mischievous, Miyo pulled pranks at Shuukou Lodge like dropping flowers or causing minor disturbances. These went unnoticed by the living, leading to deep loneliness she refused to admit. Seeking attention, she escalated her actions at Hananoyu Inn, throwing flowers and spilling water. During one incident, she confronted Oriko Seki and Makoto Tateuri, resulting in her capture.

Miyo remained unthreatened by Oriko's scolding until Makoto pinched her cheeks. She then revealed her identity as Matsuki's sister. Returned to Shuukou Lodge, Miyo expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of reaction to her pranks there, contrasting it with the engagement at Hananoyu Inn. Recognizing her loneliness, Oriko invited Miyo to live at Hananoyu Inn. Miyo accepted, masking her happiness with indifference before moving.

At Hananoyu Inn, Miyo interacted with Oriko and supernatural residents. She displayed protectiveness toward Matsuki, retaliating when she perceived others being mean to her sister—like drawing on Oriko's face after Makoto painted Matsuki's. Miyo also participated in efforts supporting Oriko, comforting her during emotional distress after Oriko learned guest Bunta Kise caused her parents' fatal car accident. During this event, Miyo attempted to console Oriko as she grappled with trauma and temporarily lost her ghost perception.

Miyo's presence and interactions contributed to Oriko's emotional healing and maturation. Ultimately, after Oriko reconciled with Matsuki and performed at the annual Shinto spring festival, Miyo moved on to the afterlife alongside other spirits to be reborn, resolving her lingering attachment.
